Accident at North Park and West North

Kalamazoo, MI:  At approximately 6 a.m. this morning Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to the corner of North Park Street and West North Street in reference to a personal injury accident. The first officers Crtrk on scene discovered the accident involved a Jeep and a semi truck in the intersection.  The driver of the Jeep was removed from the vehicle and transported to Bronson Hospital.  The 56-year old Kalamazoo resident sustained serious head injuries in the collision and was listed in critical condition.

The initial investigation revealed that the driver of the Jeep was eastbound on North Street, failed to stop at a red signal at North Park and struck the semi-truck.  The semi was traveling northbound on Park Street at the time of the accident.  The driver of the truck was not injured.
